The staff and instructors at Mountain View Physical Therapy and Fitness Studio provide fitness Pilates, HardCore Bar, Interval Boxing, N’Balance and Tai Chi for beginners/seniors classes in an upbeat and friendly atmosphere. Our instructors are seasoned exercise enthusiasts who put your safety first . You will develop strength, flexibility, improved posture and balance, and have more energy! We can help you transition from rehabilitation to fitness after an injury, get in shape for a sport or athletic endeavor, or just look and feel better. Individual fitness programs can be designed to focus on your special needs.
Liz has been teaching Pilates for over 7 years. She has a Masters degree in Dance and directed her own dance academy, Andodern Dance Company, in Denver for 20 years. Liz also taught at Metropolitan State College for 20 years as an adjunct professor. Liz was the Wellness Director at Evergreen Fitness for 18 years. She is a leader in dance injury prevention and coached both men and women in dance, weight training, skating, and basic reconditioning. Liz is currently a competitive country ballroom dancer and uses Pilates for her physical foundation to support and improve her dance technique.
Valerie Gluth PT
Valerie is a Physical Therapist and owner of Mountain View Physical Therapy, established in 1995. She is a certified Pilates instructor through internationally recognized Polestar Education in Rehabilitation and Fitness. Valerie has been teaching mat Pilates and Reformer classes in the Evergreen community for over 17 years, and practicing Physical Therapy since 1979. She has a special interest in using Pilates principles in the rehabilitation of clients who are recovering from injuries to the back, neck and extremities.
Cherie Pope-Eagen, PT
Cherie graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1988. Previous to her physical therapy education, Cherie worked as a massage therapist, earning her CMT certification through the Evergreen School of Healing Arts in 1981 and recently has been trained in Graston Technique of soft tissue mobilization. She has been certified in The Balanced Body Method of Pilates-based exercise through Polestar Education since 1997. Cherie also completed her certification in The Feldenkrais Method of Neuromuscular Reorganization through the Movement Studies Institute in 1999. Recently, Cherie has completed her Master’s Certification in Health and Wellness Coaching and is looking forward to working with individuals to reach their health and wellness goals. She teaches Pilates and PIYO.
Andrea Wood, PTA
Andrea graduated in 1999 from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree where she played varsity volleyball and 2011 received her an Associate of Applied Science degree in the Physical Therapy Assistant Program from Arapahoe Community College. She is highly experienced in orthopedics and also working with worker’s compensations patients. Andrea has a special interest in working with the elderly on strength, posture, and balance. In addition Andrea has been coaching volleyball at the high school level for the past 20 years and enjoys working with youth and high school athletes to prevent sports related injuries, and improve core strength and general conditioning. She is an instructor at Mountain View Physical Therapy for Pilates, N’Balance training class and Senior Strength.
