Running first became a part of my life in college when a good friend convinced me to run a 5K-charity race. I was hooked, and I craved the feeling one gets after a good run. Having later injured my back, I thought my running days were over, but I started rehabilitation treatments at Mountain View Physical Therapy hoping for a good outcome. As my back started to recover, I was given the opportunity to try the AlterG Anti-Gravity treadmill. The technology allowed me to reduce the stress on my back and to enjoy running again without pain.
Three weeks ago I was not certain I would be able to start, much less finish, this event. The PT you prescribed over those three weeks, (for my calf injury) to include the Alter-G treadmill, was critical to my recovery as I was able to “actively” recover from my injury. Not only was I able to finish the entire 12 mile “Tough Mudder” course, but I was also able to successfully navigate all of the course’s 24 obstacles. A sincere thank you to you and your team at Mountain View Physical Therapy – well done!
